Brian Head Town – Annexation Policy
The Brian Head Town Council was concerned about potential annexation issues and believes the current policies are not effective as they should be. The risk was that the Town would not be able to accommodate annexation and new growth unless applicants can “pay their own way’. Annexation activity has not occurred often in Brian Head, so the Town asked Rural Community Consultants to develop an easy-to-use process following state statute as well as best practices dealing with annexation. Once the policy was in-place, the Town retained RCC on an as-needed basis to help administer a significant application through the new process.
