Dutch John General Plan

Dutch John is a small incorporated community located in eastern Daggett County, Utah. The community was developed to accommodate the construction activity of the Flaming Gorge Dam. The townsite and its buildings continued to be owned by the Bureau of Reclamation until 1998 when the community was privatized. Buildings were sold to individual landowners, and undeveloped land in the community was transferred to the County. Today, the demand for the area’s outdoor recreation amenities has led to high demand for workforce housing that can support new development. Rural Community Consultants was asked to help the Town develop a new general plan and recommendations to help their land use code accommodate development that will help them grow intentionally.
