Kane County Economic Development Action Plan
There are a number of things that local government can do to positively influence its economy. Kane County and Kanab have conducted a number of planning, branding, and economic development initiatives in recent years. The central question they needed to understand is what things have the greatest impact. Using existing BEAR funding and a small EDCU grant, the Center for Education, Business, and the Arts (CEBA) asked the Rural Community Consultants for help to synthesize these ideas into a priority-based strategy that is based on the likely economic activities. This study included the compilation and review of existing plans and strategies. Tours and stakeholder interviews were then conducted throughout the County.
Testimonial
“There are a number of things that county government can do to positively influence its economy. We asked Rural Community Consultants to help us understand what things have the greatest impact. I appreciated their efforts to understand our situation not just from data gathered from existing documents, but from their interviews with residents and business owners.”
