Monroe City – Municipal Code Update

Monroe City was awarded a grant to update the Land Use and Subdivision titles of their City Code. With a focus on updating the code to be in compliance with State Code requirements, Monroe selected Rural Community Consultants to simplify their code and make it easier for staff as well as residents to understand. With a growing population and increased need for additional uses of commercial development an updated land-use code was needed to facilitate the needs of the community along with a more efficient subdivision review process.  Along with a code update, RCC was able to partner with Monroe to provide the city with a code hosting service through civiclinQ that makes the new code easy to access and find with anyone is looking for in a simple and efficient way.
