Naples City General Plan

The City of Naples, located in Uintah County, has a unique history of a boom and bust economy due to the region’s heavy reliance on the oil and gas industry. Incorporated since 1982, Naples has seen a trajectory of growth ever since, becoming a city of the fifth class at the 2010 census. During the duration of this project, Rural Community Consultants was able to work with City leaders and members of the community to identify several ways to diversify the economy and plan for future land uses. Naples was highly interested in a plan that could be implemented by the city and used in making an impact on decisions for the next 10 years. The result of this project was a succinct plan based on data and public input with several suggestive strategies for “everyday use”.
