North Logan City General Plan + Code Update

North Logan City faced increasing pressure to balance growth with quality of life, prompting the need for an updated general plan that could address both local and regional issues. The City partnered with Rural Community Consultants to develop multiple growth scenarios that would help the community visualize and evaluate different approaches to development. This innovative process involved extensive coordination with regional stakeholders including Cache County, the Cache Metropolitan Planning Organization (CMPO), and neighboring municipalities to ensure alignment with broader regional goals. Through this collaborative approach, RCC helped the city create a plan that not only addressed local land use and development concerns, but also positioned North Logan as a key player in regional planning efforts. The final product included an implementation-focused general plan and updated development codes that provided clear guidance for managing growth while preserving community character.
