Roosevelt City – Code Update

Located in the Uintah Basin, Roosevelt is a growing community that asked Rural Community Consultants to help them update their antiquated codebook. Roosevelt’s staff availability was limited, so a series of “policy summary catalogs” were utilized to facilitate the local review process. The scope of the code review was not limited to land use issues, but some of the policy solutions that made a significant impact included the different roles and responsibilities of elected and appointed officials, policy around tiny home subdivisions, and a unique approach to on-street parking regulation.
