Tabiona Town General Plan, Ordinance Update, and Website

When faced with unexpected development pressure, the Town of Tabiona knew that they needed a strategy to steer growth while providing an adequate level of service for residents.  They approached Rural Community Consultants to help them to update their general plan and ordinances.

The project included 1) a website to host basic information as well as an online survey that was used during the planning process, 2) a simple and actionable general plan that is based on citizen input and state statute, 3) Town ordinances that were digitized, simplified, reorganized, and updated to meet state statute and the goals of the plan, 4) all maps required by the general plan, 5) an implementation strategy, and 6) a brochure-sized “citizen’s guide to Tabiona” that provides basic community information and summarizes the goals of the plan.
