Weber County Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan

Weber County Utah is home to approximately 267000 residents. The region faces risks of earthquakes, landslides, extreme wind and weather, and flooding. The County partnered with Rural Community Consultants to Help them develop an update to their Pre-Disaster Hazard Mitigation Plan. With 36 participating stakeholders, the logistical requirements of this project were significant. In order to accomplish this, RCC built much of the workflow around an interactive website and story maps. Careful coordination with the Utah Division of Emergency Management’s team helped the project be successful.
