If you are a county commissioner in Utah, this merit badge will be totally easy for you!

We are so excited to be exhibiting at the Utah Association of Counties conference in St George this week. If you are attending UAC, stop by and be recognized for your service to the county.

The requirements are as follows:

1. Discuss the rights, duties, and obligations of citizenship in the county, and explain how the federal government interferes with every single one of those things.
2. Attend one County Commission meeting that has fewer than 18 agenda items, OR produce a pig with functioning wings (whichever comes first).
3. Do ONE of the following:
   1. Choose a city to host a regional homeless shelter.
   2. Locate a County Commissioner that can remember all the committees and boards they sit on.
   3. Gather enough signatures to put the local referendum law on the ballot.
4. Do ALL of the following:
   1. Visit https://rural-community.com
   2. Reflect on their wisdom, capacity, and all-around awesomeness.
   3. Follow Rural Community Consultants on Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn for relevant commentary and insights (as well as the occasional inappropriate award).
