The Rural Utah Journal is an educational journal discussing best practices, case studies, industry news, and state and federal regulations related to land use and local government planning in rural Utah.
The journal was created by Rural Community Consultants with support from other industry experts and state agencies interested in furthering land use education and with funding from the Utah Office of the Property Rights Ombudsman. Specifically, funding for this journal was provided by the Land Use Training Fund, administered by the Office of the Property Rights Ombudsman through a 1% surcharge on all building permits in the State of Utah.
